CORROSION

The speed of corrosion depends on the heat surrounding the battery. The level of corrosion increases exponentially to the rising temperature and destroys the grid, thus preventing the process of recharge and discharge from occurring normally. At that stage the battery is out of use.
GRID GROWTH

One of the consequences of high heat is the growth of the positive grid (that may also be due to the age of the battery, high charging voltages and excessive discharge). That expansion leads to the destruction of the grid plate and short-circuits.
